Saint Machine is an educational toy. There is no language model behind it. Every decision the saint makes was authored by a human, in advance, as a possible response to a possible combination of goal and values. That is the point. Alignment is not magic. It is a long, dull list of trade-offs, made by someone, on purpose, or by no one, by accident.
The hope is small. That operating this instrument makes the words optimization, constraint, and sacrifice feel like things you have actually done, instead of things you have read about.
